When customers see the splash, they know it’s Turner fresh.
We've come a long way from delivering raw milk out of the back of a horse-drawn wagon but not too far to forget our roots. Throughout our 85-year history, Turner Dairy has proven that innovation and success thrive within the context of honesty and hard work. Today we remain committed to bringing you the freshest milk and dairy products at the best possible price.
A History of Hard Work and High Quality
In the early 1900s, Peter Turner milked cows by hand on his 100-acre farm in Covington, Tenn. He bottled it with the help of his four sons and sold it to friends and neighbors. Forty years later, P.A. Turner took the family operation to a new level by applying the training and experience he gleaned during his military service to Turner Dairy. When other small dairies were producing milk for home delivery, P.A. ensured a future for Turner Dairy by focusing on processing and distribution. He invested his savings in purchasing delivery trucks and acquiring other local dairies.
Over the years, Turner Dairy grew to include four processing plants offering a variety of dairy products. The Fulton, Ky., location manufactures milk, mixes, and ice cream. The Memphis, Tenn. plant produces milks and juices. Today, we continue to invest in state of the art processing and packaging facilities to maintain our commitment of supplying fresh, local dairy products to the families and communities we serve.
